International Sourcing Show run with new EXHIBITION+ model draws to successful close
Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the International Sourcing Show physical fair, run with the new EXHIBITION+ (EPLUS) model, drew to a successful close on 15 July. Over 20,000 industry buyers attended the physical event and browsed products online. The event facilitated more than 5,000 business meetings, connecting exhibitors with global buyers both online and offline.
HKTDC launches brand-new exhibition model EXHIBITION+
International trade fairs and sourcing modes have seen dramatic changes in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the organisers of many physical exhibitions and seminars taking a new digitised or hybrid path. To assist enterprises in adapting to the new normal, and help them stay closely connected to international buyers, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is launching the brand-new hybrid exhibition model EXHIBITION+ to strengthen its exhibition platform. Meanwhile, the HKTDC International Sourcing Show runs from 5 to 8 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Exhibitors and buyers at the event will be among the first to enjoy the smart business-matching platform, Click2Match, to actively assist them in seizing business opportunities.
HKTDC Lifestyle Sourcing Show | Physical + Online concludes, attracting some 9,500 buyers
Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the HKTDC Lifestyle Sourcing Show | Physical + Online came to a successful conclusion on 10 December. The physical show (1-3 December) and online show (6-10 December) welcomed some 9,500 buyers to visit in person or browse through a huge array of products online, while more than 3,100 business meetings were arranged during the show.
HKTDC Lifestyle Sourcing Show opens next Wednesday
With global sourcing become increasingly digitalised in the wake of the pandemic, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is staging the HKTDC Lifestyle Sourcing Show | Physical + Online, a trade exhibition held in both online and physical formats, to help businesses adjust to the new sourcing model and overcome challenges resulting from the current business environment. The show will gather more than 580 exhibitors from nine countries and regions, showcasing the latest toys, baby products, gifts and premium, houseware, optical products and wine & spirits. The physical show takes place from 1 to 3 December at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). After joining the physical show, buyers and suppliers can engage through a dedicated online exhibition platform that will run from 6 to 10 December.
HKTDC Summer Sourcing Weeks | Go ONLINE builds business success
The COVID-19 pandemic has led to physical exhibitions around the world being cancelled or postponed. However, despite this impediment to economic activity, sourcing demand has continued to grow. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) acted swiftly to change its strategy at the onset of the pandemic, actively developing new business channels and services. The HKTDC’s most recent online exhibition has concluded successfully, laying the foundation for a future hybrid model that combines physical and online trade fairs.
HKTDC launches advanced online virtual exhibition
In view of the current COVID-19 pandemic situation, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has acted swiftly to change its strategy, migrating the nine physical exhibitions originally scheduled to be held by the end of July onto an online platform. In addition, an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled business matching service is being introduced to help suppliers and buyers close more deals. Organised by the HKTDC, Summer Sourcing Weeks | Go ONLINE opens today (27 July) and runs until 7 August. This 9-in-1 virtual trade exhibition has attracted more than 1,300 exhibitors, featuring lighting, electronics, information and communications technology (ICT), medical and healthcare, houseware, fashion, home textiles and furnishings, gifts, printing and packaging products. This brand-new online exhibition platform will help global buyers to replenish supplies and assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in exploring new business opportunities during a difficult time.
Seven HKTDC fairs in April attract 236,000-plus buyers
More than 12,300 exhibitors gathered in Hong Kong for the seven trade fairs organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) in April, with over 9,500 coming from Mainland China and overseas. The fairs attracted more than 236,000 buyers from 181 countries and regions, up 2% year-on-year. The number of buyers from the mainland and overseas was 140,000-plus, an increase of 4.5% compared to the previous year and representing around 60% of the overall turnout.
Houseware Fair and Home Textiles Fair open today
Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the 34th HKTDC Hong Kong Houseware Fair and the 10th HKTDC Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair opened today and will run for four days (20 to 23 April) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Some 2,500 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions are featured at the fairs to showcase the latest houseware and home textiles collections to global buyers. Smart homes, innovative technologies, green products and start-ups are in the spotlight this year.
Fairs for Houseware, Home Textiles, Gifts and Printing in April
April is one of the peak seasons in Hong Kong for exhibitions and sourcing, with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) presenting four major international trade fairs in the latter half of the month. The HKTDC Hong Kong Houseware Fair and HKTDC Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair will be held from 20 to 23 April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). They will be followed on 27-30 April by the HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, also held at the HKCEC, and the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, jointly organised with CIEC Exhibition Co (HK) Ltd and held at AsiaWorld-Expo. Some 7,400 exhibitors from 35 countries and regions will present their products and services at these signature promotion and sourcing platforms.
HKTDC Hong Kong Houseware Fair Opens in April
Asia’s leading HKTDC Hong Kong Houseware Fair is welcoming its 34th edition in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 20-23 April 2019. Some 2,200 global exhibitors will showcase a wide range of high-quality household items to global buyers. In 2018, over 29,500 buyers from 112 countries and regions visited the fair.
